The Computerized Accounting Series course- Microsoft Dynamics GP 10 is designed to teach the basic features of each Microsoft Dynamics GP modules. For the Foundation Training class we will teach how to enter and post A/P, A/R. G/L transactions, process Bank Reconciliation and use Smart List to perform data analysis, the purpose and use of the utility screens, how to use key reports and inquiries, proper period-end procedures and tips to speed data entry.
Foundation I in Microsoft Dynamics GP 10.0 Class Outline
GL Module will teach setup procedures, how to enter and post transactions, the purpose and use of the utility screens, how to use key reports and inquiries, proper period-end procedures and tips to speed data entry.
AP Module reviews the basics of using Accounts Payable in Microsoft Dynamics GP 10.0 including entering transactions and printing checks, placing and releasing holds, voiding transactions, reconciling payables and printing reports.
AR Module reviews the basics of using Accounts Receivable in Microsoft Dynamics GP 10.0 including customer invoicing and payments, scheduled payments, troubleshooting and correcting errors, printing reports and month-end procedures.
Bank Reconciliation explores the accounting cycle and the processes required to manage cash receipts, cash disbursements and other transactions that affect checkbook balances. This course will show you how to perform the reconciliation process, ensuring accuracy of your financial data and its relation to your financial institution
SmartList a great inquiry tool in Microsoft Dynamics GP that can be used to access data. SmartList uses sets of predefined search criteria. The user may create an unlimited number of searches or views and save them as “Favorites” in the system. SmartList also allows you to access other Microsoft Dynamics GP windows related to the data contained in your search. Additionally, data collected using SmartList may be exported to Microsoft Word or Microsoft Excel for further analysis.
Foundation in Microsoft Dynamics GP 10.0 Class Prerequisites
Experience in the following areas is required:
· General knowledge of Microsoft Windows
· Basic knowledge of accounting principles
· A familiarity with Microsoft Excel is recommended
Foundation I in Microsoft Dynamics GP 10.0 Class Materials
Each student will receive a set of course notes and all the class examples.
Class Technical Requirements
Each student will guaranteed to have a computer system for your own to be used in the class; our computer lab instructor will support you during the whole course.
